Subway Mishap

We were on our way to a different part of town to meet Jason at a flat showing on Tuesday. Time was tight so we just hopped on the subway and I'd figure out our connections en route.  It was a bit of a commute so I knew we had time.

So, there we were hurtling under the streets of Berlin with me looking at the map on the roof of the train car. I came up with my plan and took a seat but wanted to confirm the exact stop we were needing with Jason.

At one stop, the people across from us looked up from their phones at the last second and sprinted off the train. Dalton said, "That's why I hate Facebook...because it always makes people so distracted..." and we had a laugh at those people who nearly missed their stop.

Meanwhile, I hear from Jason via text about the stop but he's making suggestions like "You could take the U2 to blahblah and then get on the blahblah..." and such which was nice but unnecessary and I texted back, "Yeah, we're gonna switch at the zoo stop" and then I look up and the doors are closing on the zoo stop!!! D'oh!!!

If I believed in karma...well...

We rode up another stop and turned around and went back on our journey to see a flat that was a complete "no" anyway.

Later that same day, we met Jason after work to see a different flat. This one was small but so new it's still under construction. The only one we'd even consider of the 3 we've seen. So we were riding all together on the subway heading to grab some dinner at that burrito place we liked but Jason and I are deep in discussion about the place we'd just seen when, at a stop Easton goes, "This is our stop!" Sure enough! We bolted off in the nick of time having a big laugh. My favorite part was that Easton said he was waiting on us to see if we were paying attention!! When we weren't, he (thankfully) spoke up! High fives for Easton.
